This delicious Key Lime Ice Cream will hit the spot on those warm summer days! The Key Lime juice it’s made out of will take you on an adventure to the Keys! And you would never know by the texture, but it is completely dairy-free, paleo approved, and vegan as the base is made out of a surprising ingredient: Avocados! Yes this ice cream is very nutritious and very fatty! But the good kind of fatty! You’ll enjoy every last bite of it!

Ice Cream Maker

With this recipe, you’ll need to use an ice cream maker of some sort. (GREAT INVESTMENT DURING THOSE WARM SUMMER DAYS). I recently ordered this Hamilton Beach 1.5 Qt Ice Cream Maker and have found it quite pleasing and easy to use it. This or a similar model is definitely preferable to a maker which requires the purchase of ice and salt every time you need to make ice cream. This model DOES NOT require separate salt and ice, and it works as simply as freezing an ice cream bucket overnight prior to use.

With this Hamilton Beach 1.5 Qt Ice Cream Maker, you can stick the bowl in the freezer any time you’re not using it, and be prepared to be eating any homemade ice cream in as short as about 20 minutes! In addition, this ice cream maker will work perfectly for this recipe. Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Place the bowl to an ice cream maker into the freezer and free overnight (8+ hours).
  2. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
  3. Place the contents of the blender into the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes to chill.
  4. Transfer the mixture in the blender into the frozen bowl of the ice cream maker and churn about 20 minutes, until thick and creamy.
  5. Serve and Enjoy!
